The majority of horses here at JEDS Equine are OTTs aka exracehorses, but over the last few years there have been some other breeds sneaking in to keep up with the changing times and competitiveness of the sport. These are horses owned by me, there are normally other horses owned by clients that are also here on agistment for training etc.

JEDS Jetset Lad
Main Competition Horse– 1*
12 year old, TB Gelding.
Jet retired from racing with Brian Smith at the end of 2017 as a 9 year old. He had had a full and successful racing career including winning the Brisbane Gold Cup. He had run in 71 races which is a lot and a testament to his soundness. He has completed 6 1* events and was about to step up to 2* before the coronavirus hit. Since then Jet was diagnosed with Kissing Spine, has undergone surgery (all on my YouTube channel) and is undergoing rehabilitation.

Foxy- Go Foxy Lady
Foxy has just completed her first Prelim / 95cm event at Warwick ODE March 2021 (her 4th event). She will hopefully debut at 1* soon

Midi- JEDS Midlake
7 year old TB Gelding
Midi is yet to start his eventing career. He is a big boy and has lovely paces. A very scopey and over the top jump which hopefully chills out a bit. I have high hopes for this boy. Midi is what I would call a slow burn…he’s uber talented but a bit tricky, I am hoping that 2021 will really be his year!

Woody
8 year old TB Gelding
Woody has been with me for nearly 2 years, he is shortly to compete at his first event and does so with enthusiasm.
He is a really nice boy, moves well and can jump. He will be coming up for sale very soon and deserves the most loving home.

Pandora
Just turned 4 year old wb mare
Pandora is Foxy’s half sister, they have the same sire- Shrek.
I broke Pandora in at the end of 2019 and she has since been spelling but if I can sell some of my ponies she will hopefully start coming back into work soon.
The plan for her is to start eventing in 2021.

JEDS Dark N Stormy
2 year old wb colt (Born Nov 2018)
Storm is my first foal that I bred, he is out of a wb mare QEB Cocktail and by eventing stallion Contenda. He has fantastic lines for both jumping and dressage. He is such a gorgeous man and already so tall and stocky. I am planning to back him over summer and then turn him away until he is nearly 3 years old. He is a very sensative soul and it will be interesting to see how he turns out with some work.

Chevvy- FOR SALE
9 year old QH x Arab gelding
Chevvy was originally bought as a project to develop into a cool interschool/ junior eventing pony. But unfortunately he is not very much keen on the idea of jumping.
He is however a flashy little mover and will be for sale as a dressage/ hack. He is super cute and I adore him.

Fire- Another Brandy
Fire is a 10 year old TB Mare
She never raced and has been with me for about 5 years. She is by Another Warrior a great sire of successful event horses. When I got her she was very nervous and untrusting. I initially retrained her to start her event career and is a gun xc but unfortunately she isn’t quite sound behind and therefore started her broodmare life earlier than planned. She has a forever home here with me and I have high hopes to breed some winners with her.
Pippa- JEDS Kalin Xena
10 months old ID x TB filly (DOB 2/1/20)
Pippa!!!! Fire’s second foal, but first that has survived and she is so so precious to me. She is by Cushavon Kalin Ri, an Irish Draft stallion. Blimey does Pippa not realise the plans I have for her. Well firstly I hope she will be an awesome little event horse, then she will be the start of my Irish Sport horse breeding. I plan to breed her back to TBs so that I have more of a TB %. She is a very exciting addition to my yard.

Theo
9 year old TB Gelding
I have had Theo for about 1 year, he came to me due to being too anxious for his owner, he is super talented, a scopey jumper and a nice mover. Sadly I got his back x-rayed and we found he had some kissing vertebrae. Unfortunately I am not in a position to afford surgery and he is comfortable in the paddock so currently he is retired. I would love to find him a forever home where he can live out his days.
